For Semester one, we researched the designs of Martin Margiela and the customer profile of the designer. We then went on to create a trend for A/A 12/13, producing a ten piece capsule collection . Below are my illustrations for my My Final Capsule collection. Our Trend 'Fractals' was inspired by cell structures. The trend explores the sculptural, skeletal and fragile design of nature using silks , wool and natural fabrics combined with loosely knitted detailing and plastic coated fabrics for texture. Incorporating Key elements of the Designers signature styles, I have exposed the construction seams of the garment , as well as exposing the seams and zip details.
